In fact, he's made several questionable moves and sparked controversies from conservative audiences, including the time when he sold 'Satan shoes' and his iconic 'Call Me By Your Name' music video.

8 Jack Harlow

Lil Nas X tagged Jack Harlow for the rapper's latest single, 'Industry Baby,' and its thought-provoking music video. Up to this writing, the catchy single from Nas X's Montero album has amassed over 140 million views on YouTube and it's still counting. During an interview with Variety, Harlow admitted that he's always admired Nas and "the way he was handling the internet" towards the end of 2020 before the two linked up for the single.

"I think he’s giving a voice to a lot of people and kids who could use one. I think the community he represents could use someone who’s succeeding on a mainstream level," he said.

7 Madonna

Before Nas X rose to the scene and made the headlines by sharing a steamy kiss on the BET Awards, Madonna had done it first. Back in 2003, the Material Girl shared a kiss with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera on the stage of the MTV Video Music Awards. The crooner has spoken highly about Lil Nas X and their friendship during an interview on the radio show Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp. The two finally met for the first time at the iHeartRadio Awards in Los Angeles in May 2021, and Nas tapped him for "One of Me" on the Montero album.

"I admired him from afar and then fate brought us together. I think being two gay men in the business – one white, one Black – and he’s got a great sense of humor which you can tell by watching his videos," he recalled.

Thanks to the "Old Town Road" remix with Billy Ray Cyrus, Lil Nas X has developed a somewhat wholesome bond with Billy Ray's daughter, Miley.
