Not giving the creators of Modern Family some credit for Sarah Hyland's career would be a massive mistake. The show, in spite of everything, put her at the map. Sarah Hyland's first role in a film (or anything really) used to be in Howard Stern's vastly successful 1997 semi-autobiographical blockbuster movie, Private Parts.
