Reba was married to Kelly's former father-in-law, and she's now making similar claims against him as Kelly's ex has been accused of.According to In Touch Weekly, sources confirmed the couple tied the knot, with Reba and Narvel’s son Shelby Blackstock in attendance. However, the publication adds that little is known about their relationship, including when it began.
“Gwen [Stefani] and Blake [Shelton] were there,” the source explained. “It was at the Hermitage Nashville.”
Why Reba Believes Her Marriage To Narvel Didn’t Work Out
Reba and Narvel were married from 1989 to 2015. Though they’ve long been divorced, Reba only recently gave insight into what their dynamic was like, shedding light on why their break-up happened, as she said the relationship was more about business than anything else.
“[It was] a situation that was always business,” the country crooner explained. “I think it works for some people. They can be married or have a relationship and work together. Our work was all the time.”
“Our marriage was 26 years. We started out working together in the band,” Reba went on. “He was part of the band, and then became my manager, later on then my husband, but it was a situation that was always business — whether we were getting ready in the morning, pillow talk, whatever, but it was business.”
Reba Says She’s Open To Getting Married Again, Too
While Narvel is now married again, it may not be long before Reba does the same, too, as she admitted earlier this month she’d be open to marriage again if her current boyfriend, Rex Linn, 67, wants it. The pair knew each other for years before their relationship turned romantic after Reba’s stint on Rex’s show Young Sheldon.
"I'm truly committed to Rex. So, if that's something he feels totally strong about, that's fine with me," Reba, 69, said. "He's never been married before. So if he wants to experience that, I'm OK with that.”
"It was just like a magnet,” Reba said of figuring out she had feeling for Rex after knowing each other for decades. However, she said the COVID pandemic initially threw a wrench in their relationship, as it made dating harder.
